Alachua County Humane Society is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping pets in Alachua County (Gainesville, FL) for more than 40 years. Alachua County Humane Society is a limited intake, no-kill animal rescue shelter.
As an independent 501(c)(3) organization, Alachua County Humane Society does not receive funding from federal agencies, nor are they affiliated with any other state or national organizations such as the Humane Society of the United States or the ASPCA. They rely solely on the support of dedicated staff, countless volunteers, thrift store shoppers, grants and generous donations by individuals or corporations to continue our life-saving goals.
